Binhua said media reports allege Shen Boyang—described as a staunch
Taiwan‑independence figure—has been inciting anti‑China rhetoric while, together
with relatives including his father, seeking to evade mainland sanctions to
profit. Chen called the actions disgraceful and said they obstruct cross‑strait
exchange and cooperation.
