OldNationalBancorp, citing an IANS-Artico survey of over 500 executives, points out that AI is the primary driver of cybersecurity budget growth. Approximately 70% of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) listed AI as a top priority for new spending, focusing on automating security operations and identity access management. Overall security spending grew by 5%, only slightly higher than the 4% reported in the previous report, indicating a moderate expansion. Annual security budgets vary by company size: companies with revenue of $100 million or less spend approximately $1 million, while companies with revenue exceeding $10 billion spend over $30 million. About 80% of respondents expect AI to create new cybersecurity jobs; approximately 70% do not believe AI will lead to layoffs.
