The IEA warned global diesel supplies are likely to remain tight into next year, saying recent crude shipment recovery has not restored diesel availability because Middle East refined-product exports remain slow. The agency said Q3 diesel supply fell about 1.7 mln bpd, citing a conflict involving Iran that disrupted Strait of Hormuz shipments and Ukrainian attacks that forced output cuts at Russian refineries. IEA data show global diesel exports averaged 4.7 mln bpd in the first nine months of 2026, down 10% YoY, and combined net exports from the Middle East and Russia in September fell by more than 60%; the IEA said refinery runs, export capacity and regional logistics remain impaired by geopolitical conflict.
