Shanghai party secretary Chen Jining met Bosch board chairman Christian Fischer
on Oct. 14. Chen said this is the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and
that Shanghai, as China’s economic center, is pursuing digital, smart and green
industrial transformation, accelerating traditional-industry upgrading and
expanding emerging and future sectors to bolster economic resilience. He invited
Bosch to align its strategy with Shanghai’s industrial layout and deepen
cooperation on industrial digitalization and smart manufacturing, industrial
robots, energy efficiency and carbon reduction, and services supporting firms’
overseas expansion. Shanghai pledged to provide a more market-oriented,
law-based and international business environment, solicit enterprise feedback
and offer efficient support for Bosch’s development in the city.
