Netflix (NFLX.O) will cut roughly 6% of its global workforce, about 1,000 roles,
its largest layoff since 2022 as growth slows and user engagement declines.
Co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos said reductions will mainly hit product,
engineering, legal and HR teams. Antenna data show U.S. churn just above 2%,
well below peers. Netflix shares are down over 40% in the past 12 months. Other
tech and media firms, including Disney and Amazon, have also carried out
substantial job cuts recently.
