According to reports, the probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike has surged due to a strong CPI report. Kalshi, a forecasting market, showed that the market's expectation of a 25 basis point rate hike by the Fed in October rose to 55% at one point, up from just 21% previously. This marks the first time in months that the probability of a rate hike has exceeded the probability of keeping rates unchanged.
