At an Arizona campaign rally on Wednesday, US President Trump said leakers who
pass information to the media "should be shot," urged they be dealt with "very,
very harshly" and called them "scum." He said a planned strike on Iran involving
US military assets from Missouri was delayed after key intelligence was leaked.
Trump and his allies have long criticized negative media coverage of the Iran
conflict; he had earlier said the fighting would last only weeks, but it has now
entered its eighth month.
