YONHAP reports the South Korea Real Estate Agency will compile new statistics on
foreign housing ownership and commercial vacancy rates and use big data and AI
to improve the accuracy of official property prices and statistics. The agency
said it will strengthen market-management functions by analyzing market and
transaction data to counter speculation, with particular focus on foreign
investor speculative activity and trades suspected of distorting prices, and
will step up consumer protection. The comments were made by the agency head on
the 15th at the National Assembly.
