At its 2026 interim briefing, Trina Solar said the PV industry is in the late
phase of a U-shaped cycle. It expects seasonal demand and continued measures to
curb excessive competition to lift module prices in H2 2026, narrowing losses in
the module segment. The company said it will strive to return to profitability
as soon as possible. Trina expects perovskite tandem cells to enter small-scale
production in 2028–29 and reach GW-scale capacity in 2029, with rollout timed to
market demand.
