Feng Yu, vice president of GAC's Haobo Aion BU, said many carmakers' in-house battery efforts focus on pack integration and BMS application layers while core cell technology remains externally sourced; GAC pursues full-stack in-house development and production from materials and cells to pack. He said owning core battery technology and product-definition rights are necessary for healthier development.
