On Oct. 15 U.S. Mammoth Cargo Aircraft Co.'s first Boeing 777-200LR bound for passenger-to-freighter conversion arrived at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, marking the start of Asia's first 777-200LR P2F production line. In April Mammoth's 777-200LRMF P2F modification received an FAA supplemental type certificate, the first official approval for a 777-200LR conversion. Mammoth and Shandong Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. have established a strategic partnership to build the Jiaodong production line, making Qingdao the third global and the only Asia-Pacific core hub in Mammoth's 777 conversion capacity network.
