The State Council Information Office said on the 16th that preparations for the
9th China International Import Expo are essentially complete. The expo will host
participants from 162 countries, regions and international organizations and
feature over 4,100 overseas exhibitors; total exhibition space has exceeded
440,000 sq m for the first time. U.S., German, British and French companies lead
exhibitor space; U.S. firms have ranked first in exhibition space for eight
consecutive editions, increasing area by 1,500 sq m versus last year.
