At the 2026 IMF and WBG annual meetings in Bangkok on Friday, Fed Chair Kevin
Warsh said he will not pre-judge future rate decisions and did not indicate
whether the Fed will raise rates at its Oct. 27-28 policy meeting or hold them
as markets expect. He said the Fed’s September hike made clear it will achieve
price stability and has withdrawn a degree of policy accommodation, and added he
will not disclose in advance what he might do at the remaining meetings this
year.
