According to a report by 404 Media on October 16th (Beijing time), consulting giant Accenture has adjusted its internal Claude Enterprise usage policy. Starting October 1st, the company's centralized AI usage fee for each eligible employee is only $29 per month, with any excess to be covered by the specific project or team budget. An internal notice obtained by 404 Media indicates that Claude fees are calculated based on actual usage, and employee access will be reviewed periodically based on business needs and usage patterns. Some employees previously incurred monthly Claude fees of $500 to $1000, and some have reported that the new policy will significantly increase project costs; others have claimed their Claude access has been revoked. Accenture responded that the company will continue to provide AI tools to employees and will allocate resources based on specific work needs. This adjustment highlights the growing cost management challenge of increasing token consumption following the large-scale deployment of generative AI by enterprises.
