Oct 15, 2026 — PBOC's Pan, speaking at an emerging markets seminar during the
IMF/WBG annual meetings, said China bonds and equities’ inclusion in major
global indices shows investor confidence. He said the offshore RMB market has
grew steadily, with Hong Kong the largest offshore RMB center, and RMB
financing products and risk‑management tools have expanded while liquidity has
increased. Pan said the PBOC will further support global investors and issuers
accessing Chinese markets, promoting RMB bonds as widely accepted eligible
collateral, broaden liquidity and risk‑management instruments, ease financing
convenience, strengthen onshore‑offshore financial infrastructure links and
continue high‑level financial opening.
