Iran foreign ministry spokesperson BAGHAEI said Iran insists on resolving Saudi Arabia
Arabia–Yemen issues through dialogue and diplomacy and is willing to assist if
either party requests help. He denied Iranian orchestration of Houthi attacks,
saying the Houthi movement acts on its own interests and judgment. BAGHAEI said
resolving the Yemen crisis requires respect for Yemen’s sovereignty and
territorial integrity, an end to external interference and to maritime and air
blockades. He added that the past 12 years show external intervention, military
action and blockades have not solved the problem, and that escalation would not
serve any party’s interests.
