Axios reported Musk said his government-efficiency experiment DOGE failed,
showing "we simply cannot solve the fiscal deficit from inside government." He
said "the only way to solve the US debt problem is to rely on artificial
intelligence and robots," that austerity alone won't work, and that no
president, House, Senate or judiciary is willing to cut spending; he added a
future administration might try again as AI capabilities improve. Musk
acknowledged he "to some extent overdid it," said he stayed away from his
too companies long while formally in the White House for four months, and should
have returned sooner to refocus on AI.
