Indonesian equities plunged further, deepening the worst rout in nearly 30 years
after MSCI warned Indonesia risks losing emerging‑market status, stoking concern
about accelerated foreign outflows. The Jakarta Composite Index fell as much as
5% on Monday to its lowest level since 2020, extending its year‑to‑date decline
to 43%. The Indonesia Stock Exchange said on Monday it would tighten
individual‑stock daily limits from 15% to 7% through Dec 31 to contain
volatility linked to the MSCI event.
