Morning close: China’s main futures contracts were mixed. Fuel oil led gains, up more than 6%; urea, PVC, low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU), platinum, iron ore and silicomanganese each rose over 1%. On the downside, apples fell over 4%, ethylene glycol (EG) nearly 3%, coking coal and eggs dropped more than 2%, and live hogs, PET flakes and caustic soda fell about 2%.
