Novo Nordisk said on Oct. 19 that China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved an update to product information for its semaglutide injection, allowing the unopened product to be stored at 2°C–30°C for up to 48 hours during distribution to patients prior to first use. Novo Nordisk said this makes the product the first and only GLP-1 weight-management therapy in China with this delivery flexibility.

Pinglu Canal’s cumulative cargo throughput surpassed 1.0 million tons since opening on Sept. 16 after vessel Guigang Haitong 6688 transited the Madao hub on Oct. 17, Beibu Gulf Port Group said. Nanning Port, part of Beibu Gulf’s West River port, handled more than 668,000 tonnes in September, a single‑month record, as the port broadens beyond bulk minerals and grain into containerised operations including big‑bag potash unpacking, bauxite and iron‑ore decontainerisation for transshipment to bulkers, and high‑calcium stone container loading. During the National Day holiday, Qinzhou berths posted a river‑sea daily throughput peak of 67,800 tonnes and, for the first time, completed simultaneous river‑vessel unloading and seagoing‑vessel loading across multiple berths.
