At the RISC-V China Summit in Shenzhen on Oct. 19, Alibaba's DAMO Academy
unveiled the automotive-grade Xuantie E908A. DAMO said the IP is the first
RISC-V CPU to meet both functional-safety ASIL‑B and ASIL‑D standards and that
its single-point-fault metric (SPFM) exceeds 90%, an industry first. The academy
also released an autonomous-driving and embodied-intelligence product roadmap,
saying the next-generation Xuantie C950A targets roughly 5x the performance of
current RISC-V automotive products.
