At an optical components firm in Nanchang, Jiangxi, a small glass piece has been seen
its unit value rises more than 60-fold over 11 years as AI compute demand drives
adoption into high-speed optical communications. Products have upgraded from
2.5G PON filters to 1.6T optical modules; 5 nm and 10 nm high-precision coating
products are seeing strong demand from AI large-models and compute centers. The
company’s mix shifted from roughly 80/20 imaging/optical-communications to about
50/50. Communication optics revenue rose 118.25% in 1H and the firm nearly
matched last year’s full-year profit within six months. High-speed optical
module assembly orders are booked through end-2027.
