On Oct. 19 the French prime minister's office said, with agreement from local
mayors, four towns in the Nord department—Lille, Douai, Denain and
Wattignies—will impose partial curfews on Monday and Tuesday nights from 20:00
to 06:00 local time; the measures are still being finalised and will cover parts
of those municipalities. Paris police later announced partial curfews in some
Paris districts from 23:00 Monday to 06:00 Tuesday, and a ban on demonstrations
in parts of Paris from 20:00 Monday to 06:00 Tuesday.
