Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority said on the 20th that 122 vessels have been
placed on a violations list for the Persian Gulf shipping channel. More than 40
vessels have been ordered to rectify breaches; 19 are negotiating with
authorities to avoid listing or to seek removal; two agreed to comply and were
removed; about 30 warned vessels will be listed if they do not respond. The
authority said it may assist vessels that voluntarily correct violations to
obtain removal from the list.
