President Trump posted more than 10 election-related messages on social media
within 30 minutes, selling his record and attacking opponents. In one post he
said: "Less than two years ago, radical left Democrats led the United States
into a 'dark age', but we have quickly turned it into America's 'golden age'.
Under Republican leadership, the incomes of hardworking Americans have risen to
the highest levels ever... If the Republican Party wins control of the House and
Senate, I will send $5,000 to every adult citizen of the United States." In
another post he said: "You can defeat these 'Democratic leftists' by choosing
bigger wallets, higher family pay, lower taxes, less crime, a booming Kansas
economy, and no amnesty for illegal immigrants. You must vote Republican." Other
posts pushed policy pledges and priorities including tighter limits on illegal
immigration, large-scale tax cuts and repeal of the estate tax, expanded biofuel
support and exemptions from specific "red diesel" restrictions, measures to
lower drug prices, creation of a Department of Women's Health, and repeal of
diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.
