Anhui Energy Bureau is publicly soliciting private enterprises to invest in the
Inner Mongolia Kubuqi Desert-to-Anhui ultra‑high‑voltage direct‑current (UHV DC)
project (Mengdian‑to‑Anhui) to implement national guidance on introduction
private capital into cross‑provincial HVDC corridors and at the request of State
Grid Anhui. The project is a national key transmission and clean‑energy export
channel: two converter stations, ±800 kV lines of about 1,327 km and 8 GW
transmission capacity. Target commercial operation in 2030; estimated total
investment about 21.83 bln yuan. Anhui province, the Inner Mongolia government
and State Grid are processing long‑term transmission agreements.
