Ren Zhongbao, deputy director of the Innovation and High‑Tech Development
Department at the China State Planner, said on the 20th the agency is drafting a
plan to address overheating in investment in parts of the hydrogen sector. The
plan will coordinate national strategic needs, technology maturity and factor
support to rationally allocate major projects and steer local governments to
define roles in key core‑technology R&D and renewables‑to‑hydrogen demonstration
application scenarios to achieve differentiated development.
