China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said it will push
quality upgrades in the information and communications sector by prioritizing
investment in next‑generation networks and launching strategic, breakthrough
projects to accelerate expansion and upgrading of compute capacity to support
advanced manufacturing. It will advance 6G R&D and standards, deepen 5G
industrial internet applications, and promote integration of communications and
AI, including building high‑level 5G+industrial internet pilot cities. The
ministry will support more qualified firms seeking commercial trials of
satellite IoT and, at an appropriate time, study further expansion of
value‑added telecom business opening pilots.
