According to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), Iran has resumed allowing its citizens residing abroad to import passenger vehicles for personal use. Previously, due to uncertainties surrounding policy implementation details and unclear customs valuation and other regulatory rules, this type of vehicle import was restricted and temporarily suspended. Now, with a new notice from Iranian customs, the import of passenger vehicles for personal use by overseas Iranian citizens has resumed, and the processing period for these applications will end at the end of the Iranian calendar year 1405 (approximately March 2027).
