CATL launched its Tianxing II "4+1" heavy-truck battery solution, covering
ultra-light, ultra-thin, underfloor and electric-electric range‑extender
variants. The range‑extender pairs an underfloor swappable main-drive battery
(432 kWh or 513 kWh options) with a 77 kWh rear-mounted extender. CATL said
range‑extender plus Qiji battery-swap is the optimal heavy-truck electrification
path and plans to build 900 swap stations by year-end, 2,000 next year and a
network of 10,000 ultimately.
