China's Ministry of Finance said lottery sales totaled 67.389 bln yuan in September, up 27.3% YoY, driven by continued World Cup demand for betting-type tickets. Welfare lottery sales were 16.569 bln yuan, down 5.0% YoY; sports Lottery sales were 50.82 bln yuan, up 43.2% YoY. Jan–Sep cumulative sales reached 545.82 bln yuan, up 14.6% YoY, with welfare at 148.099 bln yuan (-7.3% YoY) and sports at 397.721 bln yuan (+25.7% YoY).
