China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) said China domestic smartphone shipments were 21.856 mln in September, down 21.7% YoY; 5G smartphones accounted for 19.234 mln, down 20.2% YoY and 88.0% of September shipments. Jan–Sep 2026 cumulative smartphone shipments were 189.0 mln, down 14.1% YoY; 5G smartphones were 171.0 mln, down 8.7% YoY and 90.6% of cumulative shipments.
