Oct 20, Beijing — Jens Hildebrandt, executive committee director of the EU
Chamber of Commerce in China, and advisory committee members met with European
Commission Director‑General for Competition Anthony Whelan. Whelan’s visit comes
amid ongoing competition‑policy dialogue between the EC's competition DG and
SAMR. The Chamber presented its 2026/2027 recommendations for EU businesses in
China; advisory committee members outlined how their sectors are shaping global
and China strategies in response to current economic, policy and geopolitical
conditions.
