Oct 21 — MOFCOM Vice Minister and China’s deputy chief trade negotiator Ling Ji
met Faroe Islands Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and
Fisheries Nielsen. Ling said China–Faroe Islands trade has grown rapidly in
Faroese specialty seafood is popular with Chinese consumers in recent years;
China values developing economic and trade ties and is willing to strengthen
dialogue and cooperation to promote trade liberalization and facilitation. The
two sides signed a memorandum of understanding between MOFCOM and the Faroe
Islands autonomous government to strengthen economic and trade cooperation.
