On Oct. 21, Guangdong Governor Meng Fanli attended a provincial meeting in
Shenzhen on 2026 high-quality marine industry development, urging authorities to
leverage Guangdong’s extensive waters, long coastline and numerous islands,
seize opportunities under the 15th Five-Year Plan, accelerate construction of a
Guangdong-characteristic modern marine industry system, and strengthen support
for the province’s high-quality economic growth.
