On Wednesday the Baltic Dry Index rose 87 points (3.36%) to 2,680, its highest since Oct. 13 after a jump in capesize demand. The capesize index (BCI) climbed 271 points (7.69%) to 3,793; capesize daily earnings rose $2,453 to $30,895. The panamax index (BPI) fell 43 points (1.91%) to 2,204; panamax daily earnings dropped $387 to $19,836. The supramax index (BSI) ticked up 2 points to 1,870.
