Several major Japanese companies suspended websites and parts of their online
services, potentially affecting customer access and retail flows. Mitsubishi UFJ
Financial Group paused some services, including online applications to open
investment trust accounts. ANA took its corporate website offline Wednesday
evening but said ticketing and flight search were unaffected; Apple Wallet
boarding-pass issuance was disabled. JAL also temporarily closed its corporate
site while maintaining customer service. JR West said on Thursday it had closed
about 60 group websites over a PHP vulnerability. Zensho Holdings app suspended
services for Sukiya and Hamazushi; Sega took its product information site down
for emergency maintenance. The Pokémon Company and several mobile apps–related
sites remained inaccessible Thursday morning. It is unclear whether the outages
are all linked to the PHP vulnerability.
