Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy said four vessels engaged in
illegal oil transshipment in the northern Persian Gulf were tracked, struck and
caught fire, and three additional vessels hit mines west of the Strait of
Hormuz. The IRGC warned US forces that continued provocations could invite a
larger-scale response against US bases in the region.
