eBay China has launched a large-scale personnel adjustment this week across major offices including Shanghai; multiple independent sources say reductions could be as high as about 80%. Employees report increased activity on professional recruiting platforms. SignalHire estimates the China R&D center has 500–1,000 staff. Chinese social-insurance records show 2025 insured headcounts of 611 at Yibei Software Engineering (Shanghai) Co., 118 at Shanghai Yibei Network Information Service Co., and 189 employees in 2024 at Yibei Management (Shanghai) Co.
