Cloudflare (NET.N) CEO Matthew Prince said a disclosed vulnerability in widely used PHP has triggered millions of exploit attempts. Cloudflare detected thousands of attempts across its network within 10 hours before public disclosure, rising to tens of thousands within 45 minutes of publication, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours and now reaching millions. Site operators globally have enacted emergency protections since Wednesday’s disclosure; some government websites in Europe and elsewhere went offline.
