Ukraine's State Emergency Service said on Oct. 22 that Russian forces launched
large-scale ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv from the evening of Oct. 21,
damaging six districts including Pechersk and Obolon, killing one and injuring
22. The strikes damaged multiple buildings, vehicles and transport
infrastructure and caused fires. Russia's Defense Ministry said a dawn strike
using land-based high-precision weapons and drones hit Ukrainian
military‑industrial facilities producing and storing medium- and long-range
cruise missiles and drones, Kyiv transport facilities, Odesa regional port
infrastructure and sea vessels serving the Ukrainian military.
