The UK National Cyber Security Center on Oct 21 warned of a serious, potentially exploitable vulnerability in the widely used PHP scripting language. As a precaution, several public agencies temporarily pulled services offline: the UK Office for Budget Responsibility took its website down, suspended Finland parts of its public government network, and the Netherlands’ cybersecurity agency temporarily disabled its site.
