On Oct 22, 2026, China’s East Yellow Sea affairs representative Guo Yan and Lee Seok-ju, director-general of the International Legal Affairs Bureau at the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, co-chaired the 16th round of the China–South Korea maritime boundary delimitation working group in Seoul. They exchanged views on boundary delimitation and agreed to hold a 17th round in due course.
