MOFCOM said final consumption expenditure accounted for 46.7% of economic growth in 1-3Q 2026, up 0.7 percentage point from 1H and contributing 2.1 percentage points to GDP, remaining the primary growth driver. Demand for green, smart and health-related consumption was strong. Retail sales at above-designated-size units: communications equipment +18.1% YoY, cosmetics +6.1% YoY. MOFCOM commerce data showed platform sales: smart glasses +110% YoY, exoskeleton assistive devices +46.4% YoY, embodied-intelligence robots +22.6% YoY, organic food +6.4% YoY. China Automobile Dealers Association data: September new-energy passenger-car retail penetration 67.0%.
