Oct 22 — China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said at a
Hangzhou meeting it will accelerate information technology to drive high‑quality
development of advanced manufacturing. Policy measures include implementing key
industrial‑chain high‑quality development actions; strengthening high‑end
domestic capabilities and coordinating software, hardware, standards and
patents; building a China open‑source ecosystem and open‑source infrastructure
and bolstering first‑release software systems; advancing a "AI+software"
initiative and supporting intelligent‑agent software; launching an
industrial‑data foundational action to create tradable, high‑quality industry
datasets; promoting national AI open‑source communities; and improving the
quality and efficiency of intelligent computing supply.
