Fars News reported Vice‑chair of the Moderation and Development Party Vaezi said
adversaries watch domestic signals and, if they detect divisions, will be
emboldened to seek greater concessions. He said defending the country should not
be cast as warmongering nor negotiating as capitulation. Vaezi added adversaries
misjudged Iranian cohesion and expected to meet their objectives within 24–48
hours, but resistance by the armed forces and public support altered that
calculation. He said Iran’s deterrence rests on three pillars — military
personnel capability and combat power, public participation and support, and
government service delivery — and warned that rushed attempts to resolve
disputes can produce new divisions.
