International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Grossi stated that the agency has completed most of the technical preparations needed to inspect Iran's nuclear activities. Grossi expressed hope for progress in negotiations between Washington and Tehran, mentioning the mediation efforts involving Pakistan, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt. He said, "A lasting and stable solution is impossible without a diplomatic agreement." He emphasized that any agreement would require IAEA inspection. Grossi also addressed developments in the Syrian situation. He stated that all of Syria's nuclear materials are now under IAEA monitoring and expressed hope for similar breakthroughs in Iran.
