Fujian flood-control headquarters said Typhoon No.30 was centered about 210 km east of Taipei at 10:00 on Oct. 24, with maximum winds near the center at force 12. The storm is moving north-northeast at 20–25 km/h and is expected to weaken. At 11:00 on Oct. 24 the Fujian meteorological observatory downgraded the typhoon warning to level IV and the provincial flood-control headquarters adjusted the typhoon emergency response to level IV; the response had been raised to level III at 12:00 on Oct. 22.
