First marriages totaled 10.4233 mln and remarriages 3.1069 mln; first marriages rose by 1.251 mln YoY and topped 10 mln again. Guangdong recorded 1.009 mln first marriages, the only province above 1 mln. First marriages are more closely linked to birth trends than remarriages.
