Conference data published Saturday show Amgen’s Imdelltra combined with
AstraZeneca’s Imfinzi cuts the risk of death by 58% versus Imfinzi alone in
extensive‑stage small‑cell lung cancer. Median overall survival was 21.1 months
for the combo versus 12.7 months for Imfinzi monotherapy. Imfinzi is currently
the post‑chemotherapy standard for patients without progression after first‑line
chemo. Amgen CMO Paul Burton said earlier use of Imdelltra produced greater
clinical benefit and called the result unprecedented for advancing treatment in
this indication.
